TLC Preps Web Series with Cake Boss Buddy Valastro

Oct 28, 2009

-By Mike Shields

Discovery Communications’ TLC is planning to launch an original Web series featuring Buddy Valastro of the network’s hit Cake Boss.

The new short form show, which is being sponsored by Hunts, will feature Valastro presenting old school Italian recipes. Hunts has also signed on as  the exclusive sponsor of TLC.com’s new Fresh Ideas for Dinner section. That sponsorship package includes branded entertainment videos along with recipe ideas which incorporate Hunt’s products.

TLC.com’s Fresh Ideas section is part of a larger rollout of TLCCooking.com, a recently launched cooking focused site created in conjunction with Discovery sibling HowStuffWorks.com. The site houses a variety of recipes, instructional articles and videos, along with lighter lifestyle and seasonal fare—such as the Halloween themed feature 5 Creepy Cocktails.
