CBSSports.com plans to stream live footage from the British Open on
July 17 and 18th, looking to capture an at work audience in the
U.S. as the major championship unfolds from the Royal Birkdale
course on England's northwest coast.
The site will offer life footage from the course’s final three
holes, the 16th, 17th and 18th, from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
EST. In addition, the site will feature a host of on-demand video
clips from the event, include a 2007 review, 2008 preview and daily
highlights from from the four-day tournament.
CBS continues to offer golf fans more access to live events on the
Web. For example, last year, CBSSports.com streamed coverage of
select players during the 2007 PGA Championship golf tournament in
Tulsa, Okla. The site has also delivered a portion of its live
coverage from The Masters tournament on the Web during the past
several years.
