What with the writers strike having shortened next fall's pilot
season, and with broadcasters' post-strike plans to cut back on
production, it's no surprise that the networks intend to rely more
on returning shows next season than on new ones.
In advance of next week's upfront presentations, here's a list of
what the networks already have chosen to renew.

it did announce a pick up of Terminator: The Sarah Connor
Chronicles for a second season, and 13 more episodes of animated
comedy King of the Hill. Also, in advance of 24's post-strike
return next January, the network is producing a two-hour movie
"prequel" to the new season, set to air in the fall.
