Judy Kenny Named EVP, Sales at Twentieth TV

Oct 14, 2009

-By Steve McClellan

Judy Kenny has been named executive vp, sales of Twentieth Television effective immediately, replacing company veteran Bob Cesa.

In her role, Kenny will be responsible for overseeing all sales initiatives on behalf of Twentieth Television including sales for MyNetworkTV, Debmar and Carsey-Warner. Based in New York, she will report directly to president Greg Meidel.

The outgoing Cesa is a 20-year veteran of Twentieth Television. Prior to his retirement in June 2010, Cesa will remain with the company through the transition, handling new business development for Twentieth.

Regarding the announcement, Meidel stated, “We are thrilled to have Judy join the Twentieth team. With incredible experience in broadcast ad sales, Judy will further elevate Twentieth’s current and upcoming slate, including the 2010 syndication launch of How I Met Your Mother, within the advertising community. As we enter the next decade, Judy and her team will be instrumental in strategically positioning Twentieth Television for the future.”

As to Cesa, Meidel added, “Bob Cesa’s contributions to Twentieth have been extraordinary. For the better part of 20 years, Bob has continuously built impressive partnerships and relationships, always taking a forward-thinking, innovative approach to the television ad sales business. I could not be more thrilled with the seamless passing of the torch between these two leaders in the world of television ad sales.”

Most recently, Kenny was executive vp of ad sales for MyNetworkTV. Previously, Kenny served as executive vp of sales for the Spanish language network, Univision. While there, she was responsible for leading and managing the network’s ad sales division. In addition, at the largest Spanish language network, she was responsible for advertising budgets for existing clients and developing revenue from new business prospects. At Univision for over 10 years, Kenny also held the positions of senior vp, eastern sales as well as vp, New York sales.
