The sole provider of Internet radio ratings, Ando changed the metrics to those based on session counts. The radio-type metrics are only available from the Web radio com-panies themselves.

The battle between TV networks and their affiliates for retransmission dollars could be heating up. Perry Sook, the outspoken chairman, president and CEO of Nexstar Broadcasting said Wednesday (Nov. 11) that retransmission dollars belonged to the stations, not the networks.

CBS Sets New Local Broadcast Organization

CBS put in place Tuesday (Nov. 10) a new management structure for its local TV and radio broadcast operations. The new local broadcast organization, which combines TV and radio into one segment, was in keeping with the company’s new financial reporting structure revealed last week during its third-quarter earnings call.

CBS Wins Thursday Overnights; ABC Poised for Leadership Among Adults 18-49

It was business as usual on Thursday, with CBS first in the overnights, and ABC expected to win the evening overall among adults 18-49 thanks to the ongoing strength of Grey’s Anatomy. Third in the metered markets was vastly improved Fox (which was up 58 percent year-to-year), followed by NBC and The CW.
